You should be able to wear the sneakers you want; the best for support, comfort and convenience. However, in all dance forms you need to be able to pivot smoothly with a full range of motion to dance better and avoid injury. This is why The DanceSocks are a must have sneaker accessory for dance and dance fitness.
What type of floors do they work on?
There are two versions of The DanceSocks; carpet (full foot version) and smooth floors (half sock).
Are there sizes?
The DanceSocks are one size fits all for men and women. They are stretchable and designed to fit "comfortably snug" so they don't move. This is why they work! If you have difficulty adjusting them around rugged soled sneakers a helpful tip is to put the socks on your sneaker first then put your sneakers on. You still have access to your shoe laces so that won't be an issue. They can easily fit up to a size 14 for men.
How do I wear?
For smooth floors (half sock)- Pull The DanceSocks over the front of your shoe. Cover more sole to increase glide. For greater grip, pull further onto your sneaker exposing more toe. They can also fold. The coverage you need depends on dance style, flooring and sneaker.
For Carpeted floors (full foot) - Pull the carpet DanceSock over the front of your shoe. The bottom portion is called a swivel sole and designed for durability. It should be positioned on the bottom and evenly around the sides of your sneaker. The top portion is thinner and designed to be breathable. If you need to adjust placement due so from the swivel sole. Please remember to remove before walking on smooth surfaces to avoid slipping and possible injury.
Can I wear them with dress shoes?
The DanceSocks are designed to be worn with sneakers. We do not recommend them to be worn with regular shoes including high heels.
What are they made of?
The DanceSocks are made of 90% nylon and 10% spandex.
Are they easy to clean?
Yes, we recommend keeping the logo side up so only one side gets used. Hand wash cold, do not bleach, drip dry.
Where are they made?
We are thrilled to be working with a manufacturer in the USA that works with brands like DKNY, Ralph Lauren and Adidas.
